A closer look at the regions we serve

Every corner of the Valley has its own character, and pool work changes with it. Here’s what we see across the metro:

Central Phoenix & Scottsdale

The urban core and the northeast corridor are home to many of the Valley’s older pools, which means worn plaster, dated tile, and tired decks that are ideal candidates for a remodel. In Phoenix, Scottsdale, North Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Ahwatukee, and Tempe, homeowners often come to us to resurface in pebble or quartz, modernize the waterline tile, and add features that turn a 1990s backyard into something current.

East Valley

Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert anchor one of the fastest-growing stretches of Arizona, with newer homes in Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Apache Junction, and Gold Canyon. The highly reactive soils out here are some of the toughest on decks and coping in the whole metro, so a lot of our East Valley work involves crack repair, coping resets, and deck restoration alongside remodels in Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, and Fountain Hills.

West Valley

From Glendale and Peoria out to Surprise, Goodyear, Avondale, and Buckeye, the West Valley mixes established neighborhoods with rapid new growth. We handle everything from full remodels and resurfacing to new construction here, including the retirement communities of Sun City and Sun City West and the quieter enclaves of Litchfield Park and Waddell.

North Valley & Pinal County

The high-desert communities north of the city — Anthem, Cave Creek, Carefree, New River, Rio Verde, Wittmann, and Wickenburg — sit on some of the most challenging soils in the state, with Anthem among the worst for soil-driven deck and coping movement. To the south and east, we also serve Maricopa and Casa Grande in Pinal County. Wherever you are on the edges of our map, the same crew and the same standards come to you.

The same transformation, wherever you live

A tired, outdated pool can become the centerpiece of your backyard — and we deliver that result in every city we serve. Most full remodels we completed in 2026 landed between $8,000 and $15,000 for a resurface and new tile, with larger projects that add features running $15,000 to $30,000.

Local knowledge the whole Valley over

Phoenix is not one market — it’s dozens of communities, each with its own soil, water chemistry, and pool styles. The expansive soils around Anthem, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and Gilbert are especially hard on decks and coping, while hard water across the metro leaves calcium on tile and finishes everywhere.

Because we complete 700+ renovations a year across all of these areas, we design and build for the conditions your specific neighborhood deals with — not a one-size-fits-all approach. That local experience is why homeowners from the East Valley to the West Valley trust us with their biggest backyard investment. It also means we can spot the warning signs specific to your area — the early coping separation common on reactive soils, or the calcium buildup that hard water leaves on tile — and build in the right fixes from the start.

Service area FAQs

What areas does We Fix Ugly Pools serve?
We serve the entire Phoenix metropolitan area and into Pinal County. That includes Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Queen Creek, and dozens more communities across the Central, East, West, and North Valley. If your town isn’t listed, call us at (602) 253-4499 — it’s almost certainly still within our service area.
Do you charge extra to travel to my city?
Our estimates are free across the metro, and we build travel into our standard pricing for the communities we serve. For projects at the far edges of the Valley or in Pinal County, let us know your location and we’ll confirm everything up front in your written quote — there are no surprise fees.
Do you build new pools everywhere, or only remodel?
Both. We handle new custom pool construction and full remodels, resurfacing, tile, coping, and repair throughout our service area. New pool construction typically runs $38,000 to $60,000+ depending on size and features. Visit our custom pools page to learn more.
Does Arizona soil affect pools differently in different cities?
Yes. Much of the Valley sits on expansive soils that swell and shrink with moisture, and the effect is strongest in areas like Anthem, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and parts of Gilbert, where decks and coping take the most stress. Hard water leaves calcium on tile and finishes metro-wide. Because we work across all of these areas, we design and build for the conditions your specific neighborhood faces.
How much does a pool remodel cost in the Phoenix area?
Most full remodels we completed in 2026 ran $8,000 to $15,000 for a resurface and new tile, with projects that add water or fire features landing between $15,000 and $30,000. Pricing is similar across the cities we serve. See our Arizona remodel cost guide for detailed ranges.
Is We Fix Ugly Pools licensed in Arizona?
