Common Questions
Pool Remodeling FAQs
How much does a pool remodel cost in Phoenix?
Most pool remodels in the Phoenix metro run $12,000-$20,000. A resurface plus new tile typically runs about $8,000-$15,000, while adding features, equipment, or new decking runs $15,000-$30,000. We complete 700+ renovations a year and give free, detailed on-site estimates.
How long does a pool remodel take?
Most pool remodels take about 2-4 weeks depending on scope. A straightforward resurface can be done in as little as a week, while full transformations with tile, water features, and decking take longer. We even hold the world record for the fastest pool build – 5 hours, 56 minutes.
What’s the best pool finish for Arizona – pebble, quartz, or plaster?
For Arizona’s intense sun and hard water, pebble finishes are the most durable, lasting about 25-30 years. Quartz is a strong mid-range option at 12-18 years, and plaster is the most affordable at 5-7 years. We’ll help you choose the right finish for your budget and goals.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the entire Phoenix metro, including Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Tempe, Surprise, Paradise Valley, Cave Creek, Fountain Hills, Wickenburg, and surrounding communities across Maricopa County.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We Fix Ugly Pools is a licensed and insured Arizona pool contractor (ROC KA5-275609 and KB2-304269), family owned and operated since 2001.
