Above ground pools are simple designs that come in a wide range of sizes. These affordable pool options come in either soft sides or easy to assemble walls. Above ground pools cost less, as well as, require less time and effort to construct than your typical in-ground pool. Above ground pools are not recommended if you’re looking for a pool that will last years and increase the value of your home. They are cheaper, with shorter lifespans. Due to that fact, they are known to lower the cost of your home. Many buyers request them to be removed before the purchase is finalized.
Types of In-Ground Pools
In-ground pools are a different story. They do cost more than an above ground pool, but for good reason. In-ground pools are designed to withstand and last for years. They’re also very customizable, so any pool shape or design you’ve been thinking of, an in-ground pool will probably be your best bet. If you’re wanting the most customizable option, choosing the type of in-ground pool is important. In-ground pools can be built in a few different mediums. The three most popular are fiberglass, concrete, and vinyl liner.
Concrete In-Ground Pool: Fully customizable and built as big or small as you want.
Vinyl Liner In-Ground Pool: Ideal for affordable in-ground pools, but do not last as long as concrete or fiberglass.
Fiberglass In-Ground Pool: Not customizable, comes in limited shapes and designs, but have great lifespan and lower maintenance time.
